Rigged? Being Unfriendly to Chinese? Ideals and Realities of Gitcoin's Quadratic Funding ft. FAB DAO's Huang Douni

EP.227

GM,

Recently (11/15-11/29), Blocktrend has been participating in the quadratic fundraising event of Gitcoin Grants 19. Donations of any amount will help us secure matching funds from the public pool. This marks Blocktrend's third participation in Gitcoin Grants in 2023. Initially, I thought I had fully understood the entire process. However, this time, I encountered numerous challenges in Gitcoin Grants 19.

This episode covers:

  • Why does quadratic funding occur in Web3?
  • How to fairly distribute limited resources? Sharing quadratic funding cases in Taiwan.
  • Why is the barrier to entry for Gitcoin increasing?
  • How to allocate the available 100 million NTD?
