Issue No. 700 | Lifetime Membership Now Available, Enterprise Subscriptions Launched

GM,

This is the 700th issue of Blocktrend. Whew — first, I want to thank you. Then, I want to thank myself. Recently, I updated the About page on Blocktrend:

There are no ads here — this publication serves you.
Traditional media make money from ads, so they chase traffic, not readers.
Blocktrend runs on paid subscriptions, so it cares about readers, not traffic.
With three new stories published each week, we don’t rely on clickbait headlines — we build trust through quality reporting.
Each time you open an article, you’ll find fresh and engaging stories, and perspectives worth thinking about.
If you believe content like this deserves to exist, I invite you to subscribe.
Together, let’s support a media outlet that doesn’t rely on ads, focuses on content, and respects its readers.

Blocktrend exists because of your support. Now, onto the main topic.

Lifetime Membership

To celebrate Blocktrend’s 700th issue, I’m offering a lifetime membership for $700 — available to both free readers and paying subscribers. Once upgraded, your subscription status will be marked Lifetime in the backend system. In addition, I’ll create a special Lifetime Member POAP and send it to your wallet as a token of recognition and commemoration.

This idea first came to me back in 2021, during Issue #400. I wanted a unique way to mark the milestone, so I launched a lifetime plan for $400 and joked that I might bring it back at Issue #500 or #600 — with the price adjusted accordingly.

I originally thought people would treat it like a joke — after all, Blocktrend had only been around for four years at that point, and even I wasn’t sure if I’d still be in crypto five years later. But to my surprise, nearly one in ten subscriberschose to upgrade to the lifetime plan at Issue #400. I even joked that it proved how irrational consumer behavior can be 😂 To my amazement, as Issue #500 approached, people actually reached out to ask if the lifetime plan would return.

And so, what started as a joke became a Blocktrend tradition: a new lifetime plan every 100 issues, with the price rising accordingly. Now that we’ve reached Issue #700, the price is $700.

This upgrade offer is valid until Tuesday, June 24 at 11:59 PM.
Or, you can wait until Issue #800.

Celebrating Blocktrend’s 700th Issue

The Feeling of 700

What does it feel like to complete 700 articles? I came up with a little game that anyone can try:

Pick a weekend afternoon and try counting from 1 to 700. But there's a rule — you can only count one number every two minutes. That’s because, on average, each article takes two full days to complete. This game simulates how every increase in the number is backed by a chunk of time and effort. To stay on track, you might need to set alarms — otherwise, it's easy to forget. You may get interrupted, but you'll need to find your way back and continue. If needed, you can even "take a break" and resume later.

Honestly, just counting to 10 is enough — that already takes 20 minutes, and you'll start to feel how hard it is to take even a small step forward. Of course, writing articles is much more enjoyable than counting. But this little game helps convey the slow, deliberate push behind every increase in number. The more challenges there are along the way, the more meaningful that number becomes. Between issues 600 and 700 was the second time since starting Blocktrend that I felt like I needed a break. The sigh at the start of this article? That’s my way of saying: “No matter what, I made it here.”

Lately, the market’s gotten more interesting — I’m sure you can sense it from the topics and content. But a few months ago, it was a completely different story. I called that period “puffy”: prices were rising, but most applications were barely hanging on. The market was extremely polarized — either meme coin hype or undeployed tech. Every week, I had to dig harder to find stories and products worth writing about amid all the noise.

The toughest part was when I finally found something valuable, but few people cared. No matter how concrete the example or how clever the tech, it felt like talking to a wall. One person can't change market sentiment — the only thing to do was to keep writing. Only recently, with U.S. regulatory clarity emerging and a new wave of application innovation returning, has Blocktrend begun to see a new wave of readers.

Funny thing — at first, I thought subscription numbers had nothing to do with crypto prices. After all, I focus on applications and trends, not tokens and trading calls. But when subscriptions surged past a thousand during the 2021 bull run, I had to admit that prices do have an impact. Still, after a few more years, I’ve come to believe again that it's the content that truly draws subscribers — especially when applications are active and start integrating into everyday life.

Blocktrend’s subscription swings are more dramatic than your average tech publication — and that makes sense. Blockchain is a volatile space, and people tend to subscribe or unsubscribe based on market sentiment. Over time, I’ve realized that the reason Blocktrend continues to exist isn’t because I’m holding on — it’s because someone is holding me up. Most of those people are long-time individual subscribers, but in the past two years, another type of supporter has emerged: long-term thinkers, organizations, and companies with a strategic mindset.

Enterprise Subscription

A subscription is essentially a vote of confidence in the future of a publication — and trust is what matters most. The popularity of the Lifetime Membership plan reflects the trust some members place in the consistency and quality of Blocktrend’s content. They believe that even five years down the line — or longer — Blocktrend will not only endure but continue to raise the bar. That’s something I deeply value.

The enterprise subscription is designed to reflect and support that trust, while also providing Blocktrend with structural stability as we head into the next market cycle. Until now, we’ve grown primarily through word of mouth and peer-to-peer recommendations — building trust on an individual level. But now, you can subscribe not just for yourself, but on behalf of your organization. Just like value stocks backed by institutional investors tend to be more stable than meme stocks driven by retail traders, Blocktrend is evolving from a “meme stock” model of personal subscriptions toward a more resilient structure by introducing an enterprise tier.

Starting with this issue, I’m opening up a limited batch of 10 enterprise subscription packages. Each package costs $5,000 USD per year and includes up to 100 managed accounts — effectively half the regular price. The accounts can be freely used and distributed within your team, no separate authorization needed from me. Whether your organization needs a reliable information source, a resource for an investment community, or a shared database for a research institution, this is one way to extend the value of Blocktrend's content outward.

That said, I don’t want enterprise subscriptions to influence editorial decisions. Only 10 packages will be offered, all at the same fixed price — this is to prevent concentration of influence or disparities in contribution that might steer Blocktrend’s content or direction. My goal is to create a stable, transparent, and mutually respectful collaboration model — one that keeps this publication as decentralized as possible. In other words, centered around the reader.

No matter which issue you joined us on, thank you for being here and growing with Blocktrend. It’s only because you’ve had my back that I’ve been able to keep going.
